Bio

Beckman begins his first season with the Ducks and fifth in professional baseball. The southpaw joins the Flock after being drafted with the second overall pick of the 2022 Atlantic League player tryout draft. He spent the first five seasons of his career (2017-21) in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. In that time, he appeared in 128 games (two starts) during that time, totaling a 4.48 ERA, three saves, 201 strikeouts and 97 walks over 188.2 innings of work.

The Tampa native most recently pitched with the Double-A Biloxi Shuckers in 2021. He made 30 appearances (two starts) and struck out 53 batters over 46.2 innings. The 27-year-old posted a career-best 3.38 ERA in 17 games during his rookie season with two of the Brewers rookie-level affiliates. He began his professional career by making nine consecutive scoreless appearances, spanning a total of 10.2 innings. Beckman was originally selected by the Brewers in the 30th round of the 2017 amateur draft.
