(Lancaster, Pa., June 4, 2023) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the Lebanon Ironmasters (a.k.a. Lancaster Barnstormers) 7-1 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of a three-game series at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

The Ironmasters struck first on a first inning sacrifice fly to center field by Andretty Cordero. An RBI fielder’s choice by Jack Conley and a run-scoring wild pitch by Ducks starter Chris Pike in the second made it 3-0 Lebanon. Trayvon Robinson’s RBI groundout and Joseph Carpenter’s three-run homer in the third made it a 7-0 game. Alex Dickerson’s ninth inning solo homer to right-center broke up the shutout bid.

Dominic DiSabatino (2-1) earned the win, tossing seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out 10. Pike (0-1) took the loss, giving up six runs on a hit and six walks over two innings.

The Ducks return home on Tuesday night to open a three-game series against the Frederick Baseball Team. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). It’s a Triple Play Tuesday at the ballpark! If the Ducks turn a triple play during the game, one lucky fan will win $25,000. Simply sign up prior to first pitch at the Ticket Kiosk on the main concourse to be eligible. Left-hander Stephen Tarpley (1-2, 5.08) gets the start for the Ducks against Frederick righty David Kubiak (3-1, 4.11).
