(Central Islip, N.Y., Oct. 1, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks have completed their 2026 season, presented by Catholic Health, at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. This year marked the franchise’s 26th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

2026 saw the Ducks put together a record-setting campaign on the field, culminating in the franchise’s fifth Atlantic League Championship. It also saw the team continue their long history of success off the field, leading the league in attendance for the record 20th time. None of the Ducks many accomplishments would have been possible without the unwavering support of the best fans in the Atlantic League and the team’s numerous corporate marketing partners.

The Long Island Ducks 2026 accomplishments included the following:

  • For the sixth consecutive season, the Ducks led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance during the regular season (295,002) and led the Atlantic League in average (4,683) attendance per game. Long Island has now welcomed an Atlantic League record 9,783,179 fans through the gates of Fairfield Properties Ballpark since the franchise’s inaugural 2000 season.
  • The Ducks hosted nine past-capacity crowds in 2026, an increase from the 2025 season, including a crowd of 6,896 on Opening Night to see former Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer’s first start as a Duck, and a season-high 7,157 fans on September 12. Long Island has now welcomed 730 sold out crowds all-time, which is also an Atlantic League record.
  • Finishing with the Atlantic League’s best record during the regular season at 80-46, marking the fifth time the Ducks have accomplished the feat. The Ducks also posted a winning record for the fourth consecutive season and 11th time in the past 12 seasons dating back to 2014.
  • Earning their record 10th Division Championship with a three-game sweep of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars in the North Division Championship Series. Long Island came from behind to win all three games during the series.
  • Capturing their Fifth Atlantic League Championship with a three-game sweep of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in the Atlantic League Championship Series. The Ducks are now tied with the York Revolution for the most championships among active league clubs and second-most in league history. In sweeping both postseason series, the Ducks completed a perfect 6-0 playoff run. It was the first time in team history and only the third time in league history that a team accomplished the feat.
  • Long Island set numerous franchise records in terms of wins and winning percentage. The Ducks .635 overall winning percentage during the regular season was their highest ever in a single season. Additionally, Long Island’s 80 wins overall, 39 road wins and 43 second half victories were their most ever in a 126-game season. The Ducks 41 home victories overall in 2026 were their most ever in a 63-game home schedule.
  • Eight members of the 2026 Ducks had their contracts transferred to Major League organizations or foreign professional leagues. They included first baseman/DH Juan Yepez (Dorados de Chihuahua), catcher Caleb Roberts (Minnesota Twins), infielders Henry Kusiak (Minnesota Twins) and Nick Roselli (New York Mets), left-handed pitcher Scott Alexander (Kansas City Royals) and right-handed pitchers Trevor Bauer (Diablos Rojos del Mexico), Ramon Santos (Saraperos de Saltillo) and Drew VerHagen (Guerreros de Oaxaca).
  • Four Ducks alumni played in the Major Leagues in 2026. They included right-handed pitchers Matt Seelinger (2024 Ducks) and Robert Stock (2023 Ducks) with the New York Mets, right-handed pitcher Tyler Zuber (2024 Ducks) with the Miami Marlins and right-handed pitcher Jose Cuas (2018-19 and 2021 Ducks) with the Kansas City Royals.
  • Jorge Bonifacio was named the 2026 Team MVP, presented by Delmonte-Smelson Jewelers. Bonifacio put together a historic campaign in his first season with the Ducks, breaking the franchise’s single-season home run and runs batted in records with 30 homers and 108 RBIs. Additionally, Bonifacio was named to the Atlantic League’s Drake All-Defensive Team after committing no errors over 86 games in the outfield.
  • Three Ducks were selected to the Atlantic League’s Mid-Season All-Star Team, presented by Drake – starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, outfielder Jacob Robson and closer Ramon Santos.
  • Three Ducks were also chosen for the Atlantic League’s Postseason All-Star Team – outfielder Jorge Bonifacio, shortstop Wilmer Difo and closer Ramon Santos.
  • The Ducks set new single-season franchise records for home runs and stolen bases. Long Island’s 190 homers eclipsed the previous single-season high of 151, set in 2008 and equaled in 2023, and their 320 steals shattered the previous single-season high of 239 set in 2025.
  • Wilmer Difo broke the Ducks all-time single-season record for stolen bases with 60. That total surpassed the previous mark of 56, set by Mel Stocker in 2006. Difo also tied the Ducks single-game record for walks with five on June 28 at Staten Island (Erick Almonte, July 5, 2006, vs. Newark).
  • Trevor Bauer pitched a no-hitter on April 26 in game one of a doubleheader at Lancaster. He became the third Ducks pitcher ever to throw a no-hitter, joining Robert Stock (July 18, 2023, at Southern Maryland) and Rod Henderson (May 25, 2001, vs. Atlantic City). Bauer also broke the franchise single-game record for strikeouts with 15 on May 12 against Gastonia. He was named the Atlantic League’s Pitcher of the Month for April/May.
  • Anthony Garcia tied a Ducks single-game record with three home runs on September 5 at York. He became just the fourth Duck to accomplish the feat in a single game, joining Ray Navarrete (June 8, 2008, vs. Newark; Dustin Woodcock, July 13, 2022, vs. Lexington; Chance Sisco, June 17, 2023, at York).
  • Long Island won the fifth installment of the Battle of the Belt rivalry series between the Ducks and Staten Island FerryHawks. In the 24-game season series, the Ducks posted a 16-8 record against their in-state counterparts. This marks the third time the Ducks have won the Battle of the Belt outright.
  • Four different charitable jersey auctions that celebrated various themes. The team wore special jerseys for the Fourth of July in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, Jewish Heritage Night, World Cup Soccer Night and Breast Cancer Awareness Night. These jerseys were all auctioned off via the LiveSource mobile app, with net proceeds from each auction benefiting the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks, and local charitable organizations or coalitions.
  • A report completed by Discover Long Island detailed the Ducks $501 million economic impact over the team’s first 25 seasons of play at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. The study noted that each season, the organization contributes approximately $20 million to the local economy.
  • Ducks ownership was transitioned to REV Entertainment, the official sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers, in January. The transition concluded the highly successful tenure of founding owner Frank Boulton, who also founded the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and served as its chairman since 1998.
  • The Ducks hosted Frank Boulton Appreciation Night on May 2, honoring the team’s founder with a special pregame ceremony. During the festivities, the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball announced it had officially renamed its championship trophy as the Frank Boulton Trophy, which was then fittingly presented to the Ducks in September after the team clinched the Atlantic League Championship.
