Lancaster jumped out to a 5-0 lead with single runs in each inning from the second through the sixth off Ducks starter Bob Zimmermann. A sac fly from Blake Gailen and a run scoring error, along with a pair of RBI singles and a solo homer by Fehlandt Lentini, did the damage. Ray Navarrete got the Ducks on the board with a RBI single to center in the sixth off Lancaster starter Mark Brackman.
The Stormers answered back with a run in the seventh on an infield single from Gailen and two more in the eighth to round out the scoring. Brackman (1-1) earned the win, tossing six innings, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out three. Zimmermann (2-1) suffered the loss, yielding six runs (five earned) on 11 hits in six and one-third innings.
Navarrete led the Ducks with three hits, while Matt Esquivel added two for the Flock.
