John Brownell (1-1) took the loss for Long Island, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over five and two-thirds innings with seven strikeouts. Ryan Chaffee picked up his first save of the year with a scoreless ninth inning. Long Island’s pitching staff combined to strike out 14 Blue Crabs batters in the game, a new season-high.
