Ducks Founder/CEO honored by Long Island Business News
 

(Central Islip, N.Y., Nov. 1, 2018) – The Long Island Business News today announced that Ducks Founder/CEO Frank Boulton will be inducted into the Long Island Business Hall of Fame. Boulton was selected by a committee of the top business leaders across Long Island.

“It is a great honor to be inducted into the Business Hall of Fame alongside so many deserving candidates,” said Boulton. “It was always my goal to bring professional baseball to Long Island. I could not have achieved that without the tremendous support from our community business partners as well as our terrific fans. Thank you to all of them and to the committee for my selection.”

Induction into the Long Island Business Hall of Fame is the highest honor for the most distinguished leaders in the Long Island business community. Inductees must demonstrate a commitment to excellence; past, present and future. Boulton will be honored along with 11 other inductees at an event on November 8th in Woodbury, N.Y.

Boulton founded the Atlantic League in 1998 and will begin his 20th season as founder and CEO of the Long Island Ducks in 2019. Since its inception, the league has welcomed over 40 million fans to enjoy affordable family entertainment in its state-of-the-art ballparks. Additionally, more than 900 players and 70 managers and coaches have joined Major League Baseball organizations directly from the Atlantic League. In 19 seasons, the Ducks have hosted more than 7.7 million fans at Bethpage Ballpark as well as 683 past-capacity crowds, both of which are Atlantic League records. In addition, the club has won three Atlantic League Championships and seven Division Championships while earning 13 postseason berths. Boulton currently serves as the chairman of the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks, which makes donations to more than 1,000 organizations across Long Island every year.

The Villanova alum has previously been named as one of Long Island’s 100 Most Influential People by the Long Island Business News and has been inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame (2003) and the Bay Shore High School Hall of Fame (2002, inaugural class). Additional accolades on both a local and national level include Entrepreneur of the Year presented by ACIT, the Spirit of Long Island Award presented by Promote Long Island, the Harry Chapin Humanitarian of the Year presented by the LIA, the St. Thomas of Villanova Alumni Medal by the Villanova University Alumni Association, and the Horace Hagedorn Outstanding Philanthropist Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Long Island Chapter. The Bay Shore/Brightwaters native is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Empire National Bank and serves on the board of the Long Island YMCA. He and his wife, Karen, reside in Brightwaters and have two daughters, Whitney and Morgan.
