GAME AUDIO: Highlights from the ballgame

Camden took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a solo home run from Zack MacPhee off Ducks starting pitcher Jared Lansford. The Riversharks added to their lead in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly from Jose Morales. Long Island cut the deficit in half in the top of the third on a Joash Brodin RBI single off Riversharks starting pitcher Pedro Liriano.

The Ducks gained the lead in the top of the fourth on a two-run home run from Lew Ford. A RBI triple from Adam Bailey in the top of the fifth and a two-run homer from Jon Myers in the sixth increased the Ducks’ lead to 6-2.

The Riversharks trimmed the deficit to 6-4 on a Ryan Strieby RBI double in the sixth and a Morales solo home run in the seventh. Camden would take the lead and win the ballgame with three runs in the ninth on a two-run single from MacPhee and a run-scoring throwing error.

Neither starting pitcher factored into the decision. Lansford yielded four runs (three earned) over seven innings on five hits and one walk while striking out five. Liriano allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks with four strikeouts. Dan Blewett (3-2) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Eric Niesen (2-1) took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) in two-thirds of an inning of work.

Bailey led the Ducks with three hits, while Brendan Harris, Myers, Brodin and Ford each contributed with two hits.
