(Central Islip, N.Y., Aug. 14, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the York Revolution 7-6 win 11 innings on Friday night in the fourth game of a six-game series at Fairfield Properties Ballpark.
Jorge Bonifacio gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a two-run home run to left field off Revolution starter Zach Mort. The Revs answered with two runs of their own in the third on back-to-back two-out RBI doubles by Jacob Teter and Jackson Ross off Ducks starter Rio Gomez.
York took the lead in the fifth on Teter’s two-out RBI single to center followed by a three-base error off the bat of Jackson Ross that plated Brian Rey. A run-scoring double play ball off the bat of Rey in the seventh stretch the visitors’ advantage to 5-2.
Long Island closed the gap to one in the seventh on Bonifacio’s RBI single to center and Terrell Tatum’s two-out RBI single to left. A ninth inning RBI single to center by Tatum tied the game at five and forced extra innings.
The Revolution jumped back in front 6-5 in the 11th on an RBI single to center from Nick Dunn. However, the Ducks responded with two runs in the 11th to win the ballgame. Henry Kusiak’s sac fly to left tied the game at six, and Anthony Garcia’s bloop RBI single to right won it for the Flock.
Neither starter factored into the decision. Gomez surrendered four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over five innings with three strikeouts. Mort tossed six and two-thirds innings of four-run ball, allowing seven hits and a walk while striking out three. Ryan Langford (2-1) earned the win, yielding one unearned run on one hit in two innings of relief with a strikeout. Brendan Collins (0-1) took the loss, conceding two runs (one earned) on a hit and two walks in two-thirds of an inning.
Bonifacio led the Ducks offensively with three hits, three RbIs and three runs. Tatum recorded three hits as well, adding two RBIs, a run, a walk and two stolen bases.
The Ducks and Revolution continue their six-game set on Saturday night. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Fairfield Properties Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). Following the game, all fans in attendance will be treated to a Fireworks Spectacular. It’s also a Long Island MacArthur Lucky Seat Saturday at the ballpark. Right-hander Tanner Jacobson (4-5, 5.16) takes the mound for the Ducks against Revolution righty Rhett Kouba (8-3, 4.47).
