York opened the scoring with three runs in the fourth inning off Ducks starter Bill Murphy. Salvador Paniagua hit a two-run double to center field, and Matt Spencer drove in a run with a double to left. Ray Navarrete tied the game with a three-run homer in the bottom half of the frame off Revolution starter Corey Thurman.

Navarrete struck again for a two-run home run to left to put the Ducks in front in the sixth. York scratched a run across in the seventh on a Kody Kirkland RBI double, and Ruddy Yan tripled to center in the eighth inning to drive in two and put York in front. Long Island rallied back in the ninth though to win the game. After singles by Bill Hall and Josh Barfield, Willis Otanez smacked a two-run double off the left field wall to win the game.

Neither starter factored in the decision. Murphy threw seven innings of four-run, nine-hit ball, striking out three, and Thurman allowed five runs on eight hits in six innings. Daniel Herrera (2-1) picked up the win, recording the final out in the ninth inning. Juan Rincon (1-8) took the loss, allowing two runs on three hits in one-third of an inning.

Ramon Castro led the Ducks with three hits while Navarrete, Otanez and Barfield each had two.
