(Lancaster, Pa., Aug. 21, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the Lancaster Road Apples (a.k.a. Lancaster Stormers) 12-2 on Friday evening in the fourth game of a six-game series at Penn Medicine Park.

Long Island jumped ahead 2-0 in the top half of the third inning courtesy of a two-out, 386-foot two-run home run to right center field off the bat of Jacob Robson against Lancaster starting pitcher Kyle Lazer. The Road Apples tied the game at two apiece in the bottom of the frame on Aaron Schunk’s two-run double versus Ducks starter Tanner Jacobson.

The Flock sent 13 batters to the plate in the sixth and scored eight runs for a commanding 10-2 lead, highlighted by a René Pinto RBI double, Wilmer Difo’s two-run base hit, an Anthony Garcia RBI hit by pitch with the bases loaded, and back-to-back two-run doubles produced by Marcus Chiu and Henry Kusiak. Long Island closed out the scoring in the eighth with two more runs on a Garcia RBI two-base hit and a Chiu sacrifice fly.

Lazer tallied a no-decision as the right-hander gave up two runs on four hits in four and two-thirds innings pitched along with four walks and four strikeouts. Jacobson (6-5) earned the win, allowing a pair of runs on three hits across five innings of work, walking four and striking out seven. Cole Patten (2-2) suffered the loss, surrendering three runs on one hit in one inning of relief, walking and striking out one.

Robson had three hits, two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Gavin Collins picked up two hits, two runs scored and a free pass. Kusiak contributed with two hits, a pair of RBIs, two runs scored and a hit by pitch.
