Bud Harrelson and Kevin Baez serve as keynote presenters
(Old Bethpage, N.Y., Mar. 15, 2012) – Long Island Ducks owner/coach Bud Harrelson and manager Kevin Baez served as keynote speakers on Thursday at a Lighthouse Leadership Committee workshop presented by Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (F.R.E.E.).
“You work as a team,” said Harrelson. “You’re successful as a team. If you don’t work as a team, you’re not successful. There’s no ‘I’ in team.”
Harrelson and Baez were greeted with performances by the F.R.E.E. chorus of The Star Spangled Banner and Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” Following a few remarks, the two took the floor to speak to the audience about sharpening your leadership and teamwork skills. The event was held for individuals with special needs to learn more about the importance of teamwork and how it plays into their everyday lives.
The Ducks were presented with a signed jersey and hat from the members of F.R.E.E. during the workshop as well. Many media outlets were present at the event to capture the fun and hear from Harrelson and Baez.
