Long Island ties season high with 17 hits

GAME AUDIO: Highlights from the victory

The Ducks opened the scoring when Bryant Nelson knocked a two-run double to left field in the first inning off Bluefish starter Pat Ahearne. Long Island kept rolling in the second, as Joash Brodin drove in a run with a single, Josh Barfield singled in two runs, and Bill Hall capped the four-run frame with a RBI single.

Brodin drove in another run with a single in the fifth inning, and Ramon Castro finished up the scoring with a RBI double in the eighth. The game was then called in the middle of the eighth inning as the inclement weather would not let up.

Brodin led the Ducks with four hits, while Nelson, Hall, Barfield, Ray Navarrete, Kraig Binick and Dan Lyons each recorded two. Brodin, Barfield, and Nelson each drove in two runs for the Ducks.
