(Central Islip, N.Y., March 21, 2023) – The Long Island Ducks spent the past two weekends celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by attending several parades in the Long Island community.

On Saturday, March 11, the Ducks float made its way down Main Street in Bay Shore during their annual parade. The following day, the celebration was in Bayport-Blue Point, as the Ducks once again marched down Main Street. Finally, on Sunday, March 19, Long Island’s hometown team attended the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Patchogue.

Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, was the star of each parade. The lovable mascot rode atop the float and waved to his adoring fans in the crowd, even tossing t-shirts to a lucky few. Also joining in on the fun were Ducks all-time hits leader, Lew Ford, as well as Ducks pitcher and Long Island native Chris Cepeda. Members of the Ducks Street Team greeted those in attendance up and down Main Street, handing out 2023 Ducks pocket schedules and buy one, get one free coupons for Ducks tickets.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, a Professional Partner League of Major League Baseball.
