(Lancaster, Pa., Aug. 19, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the Lancaster Stormers 9-1 on Wednesday evening in the second game of a six-game series at Penn Medicine Park.

Long Island sent 11 batters to the plate in the top half of the third inning and scored six times to open up a 6-0 lead against Lancaster starting pitcher Ethan Firoved, highlighted by a 349-foot three-run home run to the opposite-field in right off the bat of Anthony Garcia, a Jacob Robson RBI single, a wild pitch thrown by reliever JT Weaver and a double steal of second by Kole Kaler and home plate by Robson.

The Stormers lone run of the ballgame came in the seventh by way of a Nathan Martorella run-scoring base hit versus Ducks starter Nick Margevicius. The Flock closed out the scoring in the eighth by plating three more runs for the 9-1 cushion thanks to a 385-foot leadoff solo tater to right by Wilmer Difo, a Jorge Bonifacio RBI double and a Marcus Chiu run-scoring base knock.

Margevicius (3-1) was the winning pitcher as the southpaw allowed just one run on five hits in seven innings pitched to go along with four strikeouts, collecting his third consecutive quality start in the process. Firoved (0-1) suffered the loss, giving up six runs (three earned) on six hits in two and one-third innings of work, walking one and striking out three.

Difo had two hits, an RBI, two runs scored, a walk and his team-best 48th stolen base of the campaign. Gavin Collins had three hits, a run scored and was hit by a pitch. Homered, drove in three runs, scored twice and walked. Robson had three hits, an RBI, a run scored and four stolen bases, and Koler Kaler drew three walks and swiped a pair of bags.
