(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 28, 2026) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Clubs (ALPB) today announced its Administrative Awards for the 2026 season, as voted on by the league’s member clubs. QuackerJack has been named the Atlantic League’s Mascot of the Year, while the Long Island Ducks have been chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Clubhouse Service Award for a third consecutive season.
“Thank you to our fellow Atlantic League clubs for selecting QuackerJack and our clubhouse staff for these two honors,” said Ducks General Manager Sean Smith. “It’s tremendously important for our fans off the field and our players and coaches on the field to enjoy a top-notch experience, and both QJ and our clubhouse staff work tirelessly to ensure we live up to that expectation.”
This marks the fourth time that QuackerJack has been named the Atlantic League’s Mascot of the Year since the award’s inception in 2015 (2015, 2017, 2023). QJ is involved year-round in the Ducks marketing and community efforts and remains a recognizable league ambassador. He earned a record 16th consecutive Best of Long Island Award earlier this year as the Best Long Island Sports Mascot, and he serves as the President of the Ducks Kids Club, presented by FourLeaf Federal Credit Union. The lovable mascot visits fans at schools, little leagues, holiday parades, hospitals and many charity events during the year.
The Outstanding Clubhouse Service Award recognizes the team that consistently meets and exceeds league clubhouse and umpire dressing room guidelines. Long Island’s Clubhouse Staff is led by Clubhouse Manager Emil Coccaro, who recently completed his 21st year with the team. The lifelong Levittown resident has overseen the clubhouse operations of two Atlantic League All-Star Games, nine Atlantic League Championship Series and numerous additional events held at Fairfield Properties Ballpark during his time with the team. Emil was joined by Assistant Clubhouse Manager Stephen Guadagno-Levin along with several game day staff members.
“To win an Atlantic League Championship and the Outstanding Clubhouse Service Award in the same season is extremely special to me,” said Coccaro. “Receiving this award for the third consecutive season is a tremendous honor. It makes me so proud that our staff’s hard work continues to be recognized by our peers throughout the Atlantic League.”
The Long Island Ducks recently completed their 26th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y. They are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, have led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance for six consecutive seasons, and have sold out a record 730 games all-time.
