This fall, the Long Island Ducks celebrated the start of the holiday season by taking part in several parades throughout the Long Islnad community. The festivities began on Saturday, November 25 at Sayville’s 11th Annual Miracle on Main Street. QuackerJack, Ducks Manager Kevin Baez, Team President/GM Michael Pfaff and members of the Ducks Street Team greeted those in attendance while even tossing a few t-shirts to some lucky fans. The fun continued that night at Patchogue’s Holiday Parade as QJ and Baez represented the team in the town’s 55th annual event.

Finally, the Ducks wrapped up the parade season on Saturday, December 2 by taking part in the Islip Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting. QuackerJack and Baez were joined this time by 2017 Ducks players Lew Ford and Bruce Kern on the team float as they made the trip down Main Street and waved to the hometown crowd.

The holiday fun continues as the Ducks host their annual Holiday Toy Drive. Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys, which will then be delivered by members of the Street Team to pediatric units at various Long Island hospitals. Donated gifts can be dropped off from now through Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Waddle In Shop during normal business hours.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
