Fans bid on game-worn commemorative jerseys

(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 4, 2018) – The Long Island Ducks annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night Jersey Auction was another great success in 2018! Fans were able to place their bids on these special commemorative jerseys, which were worn during the Ducks 6-2 win over the New Britain Bees on September 4th, which was the team’s 13th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night.

Bids started at $75 and were increased in minimum $10 increments. Bidding ran through the conclusion of the top of the seventh inning during the September 4th game, and fans were able to place their bids by visiting the Waddle In Shop on the main concourse behind home plate during the game.

Net proceeds from the auction will be donated to the breast cancer awareness organizations in attendance on Tuesday night by the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks. All donations were tax deductible. The QuackerJack Foundation has contributed to thousands of non-profit and like organizations each year while bringing awareness to worthy programs and causes in need of assistance on Long Island.
