(Central Islip, N.Y., Dec. 11, 2022) – The Long Island Ducks, in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation (“USMCTT”), hosted a toy donation drop-off event at Fairfield Properties Ballpark on Sunday.

“We enjoyed teaming up once again with the USMCTT to help less fortunate children this holiday season,” said Ducks President/GM Michael Pfaff. “We thank all Long Islanders who stopped by and donated to this important cause while also getting some holiday shopping done.”

The ballpark served as a toy donation drop off location to support the USMCTT Toys for Tots program. Fans were able to drive through the ballpark’s administrative parking lot to drop off new, unwrapped toys for children.

“Thank you to the Ducks for allowing us to bring this great event back to the ballpark,” said USMC Gunnery Sergeant John Sardine. “We enjoyed welcoming members of the community and look forward to bringing smiles to the faces of children this holiday season.”

The Ducks are also collecting toy donations for children spending the holidays in local hospitals. Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys with them to the Waddle In Shop from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm through Friday, December 16. Members of the Ducks organization will then deliver the toys to pediatric units at Good Samaritan University Hospital, South Shore University Hospital and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital later this month.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, a Professional Partner League of Major League Baseball. Over 8.5 million fans have enjoyed the Ducks brand of affordable, fun entertainment at Fairfield Properties Ballpark since inception in 2000.
