(Central Islip, N.Y., Feb. 17, 2019) – The Long Island Ducks are saddened to learn about the passing of our legendary PA Announcer, “Bullet” Bob Ottone. Bob passed away at 2:30 this morning at Southside Hospital surrounded by his family.
“Bob Ottone was an integral part of our organization as the ballpark voice of the Ducks for so many wonderful years,” said Ducks Founder/CEO Frank Boulton. “He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ottone family at this difficult time.”
Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 12:30 p.m. Entombment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:30 p.m. and Friday 11:30 a.m until 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s loving memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
