Eric Patterson’s RBI single to center in the third and a RBI single to center by Mikey Reynolds extended the advantage to four. Long Island plated a run in the ninth on a run-scoring groundout to first by Delta Cleary, Jr., but they could not inch closer.

Revolution starter Frank Gailey (2-2) earned the win, tossing seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out 10. Buckner (7-2) suffered the loss, yielding four runs on eight hits and four walks with two strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings.
