The Long Island Ducks today announced that John Weckerle has won the exclusive opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to a Ducks game during the 25th Anniversary Season, presented by Catholic Health.

All fans purchasing individual game tickets on February 5 (2/5) were entered into a raffle for a chance to win this exciting experience. Weckerle will “take the field” at Fairfield Properties Ballpark prior to a select Ducks game this season to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Additionally, John will receive a VIP on-field photo with Ducks Manager Lew Ford and have his name displayed on the lower portion of the scoreboard.

Weckerle is a long time Ducks fan who resides in Commack, N.Y. He has frequently purchased Ducks individual game tickets on the first day they go on sale each season.

Box office and phone hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except holidays. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early to ensure the best availability.
