York southpaw fires complete game to defeat Ducks
(York, Penn., June 2, 2013) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 7-1 on Sunday evening in the third game of a four-game series at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

The Revolution jumped on Ducks starter Connor Graham for four runs in the opening inning. Andy Marte’s two-run single to left and Cody Johnson’s solo homer to right did the damage. Single runs in the second and third on Andres Perez’s RBI double to right and a wild pitch extended the lead to six.
Long Island plated their only run of the game in fifth on Ramon Castro’s solo homer to right-center off Revolution starter Chris Cody. Wilson Batista’s RBI double in the bottom of the frame rounded out the scoring.
Cody (5-2) went the distance for the win, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out 11 in nine innings. Graham (2-3) suffered the loss, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts in seven innings.
Bryant Nelson led the way with two hits for the Ducks. Adam Bailey extended his hitting streak to 13 games and his on-base streak to 20 consecutive games.
The Ducks and Revolution wrap up their four-game set on Monday night. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. from Sovereign Bank Stadium. Southpaw Bill Murphy gets the start for the Ducks against Revolution right-hander Nick Green. Long Island returns home on Friday, June 7 to open a four-game weekend set against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 6:05.
