Season ticket holders can donate tickets all year long

(Central Islip, N.Y., June 4, 2014) – On Monday, June 2, over 200 people from various organizations on Long Island had the opportunity to enjoy a night out at Bethpage Ballpark. These groups watched the Long Island Ducks defeat the Lancaster Barnstormers 9-2 thanks to a charitable donation made by Long Island’s hometown team to Seats of Dreams.

“We are extremely appreciative of the opportunity presented to us by the Long Island Ducks,” said Seats of Dreams co-founder David Bieber. “Everyone had a wonderful time creating new and memorable experiences at the ballpark.”

This season, the Ducks have teamed up with Seats of Dreams to allow children and those less fortunate the opportunity to see the Flock at Bethpage Ballpark. Season ticket holders are able to donate their tickets to the organization, who will then in turn donate them to various charities around Long Island. A tax-deductible donation of at least two Ducks tickets to any game can be made, and there is no charge for donating tickets to Seats of Dreams.

“This is a great way to provide charitable opportunities for those who wouldn’t normally be able to enjoy Ducks baseball,” said Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. “Rather than letting your tickets go unused, Seats of Dreams will allow children and families to experience a fun-filled night out at the ballpark cheering on the Ducks.”

To donate your tickets for local charities that serve children and families, please visit the Bethpage Ballpark box office or call (917) 596-5445 up to 24 hours before the game you are donating. Season ticket holders who donate their tickets will receive an e-mail tax receipt for their donation from Seats of Dreams.
