Long Island cracked the scoreboard first in game one on a two-run single by Delta Cleary, Jr. and a RBI single by Cody Puckett in the third inning off of Camden starter Zachary Clark. A wild pitch in the fourth inning scored Jose Morales to increase the advantage to 4-0.

The Ducks rounded out their scoring on another RBI single to left by Puckett in the fifth. Mike Costanzo hit a solo home run to right in the sixth, but the Riversharks would get no closer.

Bruce Kern (2-1) earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out three. Clark (0-1) took the loss, yielding four runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in three and one-third innings. Ducks starter Sergio Perez did not factor into the decision but tossed two innings, allowing three walks while striking out two.

Cleary, Jr., Puckett, Morales and Bryan Sabatella each had two hits to lead the Flock offensively.

In game two, Camden scored the first run on a third inning throwing error by catcher Mike Blanke. Long Island knotted the score in the fourth on Dan Lyons’ RBI infield single off of Riversharks starter Ryan Kulik.

The Riversharks took the lead back in the fifth against Ducks starter Ian Marshall on a RBI double by Joel Guzman and a bases loaded walk to Norberto Susini. Three more runs in the sixth on a sac fly from Guzman, a bases loaded hit by pitch and a RBI infield single from Michael Rockett extended the advantage to 6-1. Following a Camden run in the seventh, Blanke connected for a RBI double in the ninth. However, Long Island could not pull even.

Kulik (4-1) earned the win, tossing seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits and four walks while striking out two. Marshall (2-1) suffered the loss, surrendering three runs (two earned) on five hits and seven walks with five strikeouts in five innings.

Blanke led the Flock with two hits, and every Ducks batter reached safely in the game.
