Lancaster jumped in front on Fehlandt Lentini’s RBI single to left off Ducks starter Bob Zimmermann. Two more runs in the fourth on a RBI double by Kyle Haines and a run-scoring single off the bat of Adam Godwin pushed the lead to three.

After Lancaster scored a run in the sixth, Dan Lyons would cut the deficit back to three on a RBI single in the bottom of the ninth. However, the Flock could not inch closer.

Pollok (11-1) earned the win, tossing six innings, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out two. Zimmermann (5-7) suffered the loss, yielding four runs (two earned) on six hits with four strikeouts in seven innings. Tim Hamulack earned his 25th save with a scoreless ninth.

The Ducks and Barnstormers continue their four-game set on Friday night. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 6:05. It’s the Sixth Annual Irish Heritage Night at the ballpark, and the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Sports Bottles, courtesy of The Nutty Irishman.
