Lancaster struck for the game’s first run in the third inning on an RBI single to left field from Josh Whitaker. Long Island quickly answered though in the bottom of the inning on a two-out RBI single to left from Ruben Gotay off Barnstormers starter Mike Lee.

Lance Zawadzki quickly put the Barnstormers back in front 2-1 in the fourth with a solo home run to left-center off Ducks starter John Brownell. It would stay that way until the seventh when the Ducks struck for a pair of two-out runs to take a 3-2 lead. Back-to-back RBI singles from Fehlandt Lentini and Delta Cleary Jr. did the damage. Matt Wessinger rounded out the scoring in the eighth when he scored from first base on a two-out RBI single up the middle by Anthony Vega.

Neither starter factored into the decision. Brownell allowed just two runs over six innings on nine hits and two walks while striking out seven. Lee lasted five and two-thirds innings, yielding a run on four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. Eury De La Rosa (2-2) picked up the win after pitching a scoreless seventh inning, striking out one. Scott Gracey (2-4) suffered the loss, surrendering the go-ahead run on two hits and a walk without recording an out. Amalio Diaz earned his first save of the year after striking out the side in a scoreless ninth.

Lentini, Cleary Jr. and Vega each had two hits and a run batted in to lead the Flock.
