The Ducks soared to a 6-0 lead with a run in the second and five in the third off Lancaster starter J.D. Durbin. A RBI single by Dan Lyons, a two-run double to left-center from Ray Navarrete and a three-run homer to left for Shawn Williams did the damage.

Lancaster got on the scoreboard with a run-scoring ground out from Brad Boyer off Ducks starter Jason Monti, but the Flock answered back with four more runs in the fourth. Bryant Nelson’s RBI single, another two-run double by Navarrete and a RBI double from James McOwen highlighted the scoring. The Barnstormers cut the deficit in half with four runs over the final three innings, but it wasn’t enough.

That was more than enough for Jason Monti (3-0) to get the win, tossing five innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out three. Durbin (1-3) was saddled with the loss, giving up six runs on seven hits in just three innings of work.

Brandon Sing led the Ducks with three hits, while Navarrete, Nelson, McOwen, Kraig Binick and Matt Esquivel each added two. Navarrete’s four RBI were tops for Long Island as well.

Long Island also set a season-high with five doubles…The Ducks remained undefeated when leading after seven innings and are now 12-0 this season.
