QuackerJack helps raise money for those with disabilities

(Oyster Bay, N.Y., Mar. 3, 2013) – On Sunday, QuackerJack and the Ducks Street Team, powered by National Grid, attended the eighth annual Polar Bear Plunge at Theodore Roosevelt Park in Oyster Bay. The event is held each year to help raise money for programs that benefit over 1,800 children and adults with disabilities.

QJ spent the afternoon dancing to music, playing games with those in attendance, signing autographs and posing for tons of pictures. The Street Team also held a raffle at the event, with the grand prize winner receiving a Buddy Harrelson signed baseball. Then at 2:15, all the “plungers” jumped in the water, but it was it a little too chilly for the Ducks’ lovable mascot to join them!

QuackerJack and the Ducks Street Team, powered by National Grid, will be in attendance at the upcoming events listed below throughout the month of March. Be sure to stop by, congratulate the Ducks on winning the 2012 Atlantic League Championship and get excited for the 2013 season!
