The Ducks struck first for two runs in the opening inning off York starter Omar Javier on a two-run homer by Ray Navarrete. The Revs would rally to plate three runs in the seventh and one more in the eighth, but that was all they could muster.
Monti (5-2) got the win, tossing five innings and allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five. Javier (0-4) suffered the loss, surrendering six runs (five earned) on three hits and four walks in two and two-thirds innings. Jon Meloan picked up his ninth save by getting the final five outs.
Kraig Binick led the Ducks with a five-hit performance, only the second Duck to do so this season, while Navarrete, Gorecki and Josh Johnson each chipped in two hits.
