Give the gift of life at Bethpage Ballpark

(Central Islip, N.Y., June 19, 2013) – The Long Island Ducks will be hosting their first blood drive of the year at Bethpage Ballpark on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to come to the ballpark and donate blood to help save a life.

The blood drive will be held on the plaza outside Bethpage Ballpark prior to that night’s game between the Ducks and Sugar Land Skeeters, which is slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. Long Island Blood Services, a Division of New York Blood Center, will be on hand for the event. QuackerJack, the best mascot on Long Island, will also be in attendance along with pitchers Eric Niesen, Connor Graham and Jared Lansford to sign autographs and thank donors throughout the day. Anyone donating blood on Saturday will receive a voucher for two free tickets to any 2013 Ducks home game, subject to availability.

Long Island Blood Services asks that donors bring a valid photo or signature identification with them to the blood drive.
