GAME AUDIO: Highlights from the series-clinching win

The Ducks jumped on Revolution starter Frank Gailey immediately, as Delta Cleary Jr. launched a three-run home run in the first inning over the Arch Nemesis in left field. It stayed that way until the fifth when a wild pitch from Ducks starter Nick Struck scored Josh Wilson, trimming York’s deficit to 3-1.

Long Island extended their advantage to 7-1 with two runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth. Mike Dowd’s two-run homer over the Arch Nemesis and Tyler Colvin’s two-run double off the wall in left highlighted the scoring.

Jared Mitchell homered to right in the eighth and hit a two-run single to center in the ninth, closing the gap to 7-4. However, Todd Coffey struck out Michael Rockett as the tying run to end the game.

Struck (4-5) earned the win, pitching five innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and a walk while striking out eight. Gailey (6-5) took the loss, surrendering five runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings with nine strikeouts. Coffey picked up his 27th save of the year after recording the final out.

Cleary Jr., Colvin and Fehlandt Lentini each had two hits to lead the offense.
