QuackerJack enjoys basesball-themed lunch

(Amityville, N.Y., Sept. 12, 2014) – On Friday, Sept. 12, Ducks’ mascot QuackerJack visited his friends over at the Dominican Village Retirement and Assisted Living Community.

To QJ’s enjoyment, he arrived at a baseball-themed luncheon in the Grand Hall at Dominican Village. Nearly one hundred residents sat around the dance floor, decked out in baseball-themed T-shirts and hats, including some Ducks apparel as well.

Everyone in attendance was served a meal consisting of hot dogs, crackerjacks and beer. QuackerJack had the opportunity not only had to meet and great with all of the residents, but also get his groove on! With a pianist on-hand playing sport-themed music, QJ helped lead sing-alongs and dances throughout the afternoon. QuackerJack very much enjoyed spending some quality time with all of his friends at the Domincan Village community.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
