Both sides traded zeroes for the first five innings of the ballgame. Long Island finally broke the scoreless deadlock in the sixth when Lew Ford doubled and Marc Krauss followed with a two-run home run to right field off Skeeters starter Bobby Blevins.

Sugar Land tied the game at two with single runs in the seventh and eighth against Ducks starter Matt Larkins. A solo homer to left-center by Caleb Ramsey and a fielding error which scored Wilfredo Rodriguez did the damage.

It remained even until the bottom of the 11th inning. A single to right-center by Ford and walks to Delta Cleary Jr. and Ruben Gotay loaded the bases with one out. Alex Burg followed with a two-strike single through the left side to score Ford with the winning run.

Neither starter factored into the decision. Larkins pitched eight innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out six. Blevins tossed six innings, yielding two runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Tyler Wilson (2-2) collected the win after pitching a scoreless 11th inning, walking one and striking out one. Mark Haynes (1-4) took the loss, giving up a run on two hits and two walks in one-third of an inning.

Ford led the Flock with three hits and two runs scored. Dan Lyons added two hits, while Krauss drove in two runs.
