The Revolution took a 3-0 lead in the first inning against Ducks starter Bobby Blevins on a two-run home run to left field by Jared Mitchell and a solo homer to right off the bat of Kevin Rivers. Michael Burgess extended the advantage to four in the second with an opposite-field solo homer to left.

It stayed that way until the seventh when Tyler Colvin closed the gap to 4-1 with a sacrifice fly to center off Revolution starter Frank Gailey. However, York got the run back in the seventh when Travis Witherspoon scored on a double play ball.

Gailey (5-3) earned the win, tossing five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out eight. Blevins (2-9) suffered the loss, yielding four runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Mike DeMark picked up his 31st save with a scoreless ninth.

Delta Cleary Jr. led the Flock with a pair of hits, a walk and a stolen base.
