(Lancaster, Pa., Aug. 18, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the Lancaster Stormers 10-6 on Tuesday night in the opening game of a six-game series at Penn Medicine Park.

The Stormers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom half of the first inning on Tristan English’s RBI single, Nicky Lucky’s three-run home run and Nathan Martorella’s solo four-bagger against Ducks starting pitcher Michael Dominguez. Long Island cut the deficit to 5-2 in the second on Terrell Tatum’s 443-foot two-run homer to right centerfield versus Lancaster starter Matt Swarmer, but the Stormers answered with three more runs in the bottom of the frame for an 8-2 cushion on Mason Martin’s three-run shot.

The home team made it 10-2 in the fifth on Martorella’s second home run of the ballgame, a two-run shot to right field. The Flock got to within 10-6 in the ninth on an Aaron Takacs run-scoring fielder’s choice and a 418-foot three-run home run to straightaway centerfield off the bat of Jorge Bonifacio, but the comeback fell just short as the Stormers were able to hang on for the triumph.

Swarmer (3-5) picked up the victory as the right-hander allowed two runs on five hits in six innings pitched, walking three and striking out six. Dominguez (5-4) suffered the loss, surrendering eight runs on eight hits over two innings of work, walking and striking out three.

Jacob Robson had two hits, a run scored and a pair of walks. Henry Kusiak had two hits and a walk. Bonifacio had three RBIs, two runs scored and two walks. Tatum had two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.
