(Central Islip, N.Y., Dec. 8, 2024) – The Long Island Ducks teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation (“USMCTT”) to host a toy donation drop-off event at Fairfield Properties Ballpark on Sunday.
Fans were able to drive through the ballpark’s administrative parking lot to drop off new, unwrapped toys for children this holiday season. 83 boxes of toys were collected by the organization, and local Boy Scouts and members of the U.S. Marines helped load the toys into boxes and onto a delivery truck.
Santa Claus, The Grinch and QuackerJack all made appearances at the event. The ballpark’s plaza featured several tables with local vendors, food trucks and unique cars from the Road Revival Auto Club.
Additionally, the Ducks opened the Waddle In Shop, the team’s merchandise store, for the holiday shopping season. Fans were able to purchase a wide range of Ducks team apparel and novelty items from 9:00 a.m. to noon. QJ, Santa and Ducks Manager Lew Ford were all in attendance to take free photos with fans.
