Bridgeport opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning against Ducks starter Eury De La Rosa. Endy Chavez’s RBI triple and a sacrifice fly on right off the bat of Jose Cuevas did the damage. Two more runs in the third on RBI singles by Delta Cleary Jr. and Dan Lyons gave the Ducks their first lead of the night. Gotay extended the lead to 6-2 in the sixth with a towering three-run home run to right-center.

De La Rosa (3-3) earned the win, tossing five innings of two-run ball, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out six. Kubiak (4-3) suffered the loss, surrendering six runs on eight hits and three walks with six strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings.
