(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 14, 2025) – On Sunday, Frankie Focus stopped by Fairfield Properties Ballpark to take part in the Fan Appreciation Day festivities at the Long Island Ducks final home game of the 2025 season.

Frankie Focus is the mascot for New York’s statewide phone-free schools policy, introduced by Governor Kathy Hochul to encourage students to concentrate on learning rather than distractions from their cell phones. Frankie helps promote New York’s new statewide ban on smartphones in K-12 schools.

Frankie Focus is a quiet but highly focused character who prioritizes learning, teachers, and making friends. Frankie is part of a larger public service campaign called “Team Phone Free,” designed to highlight the benefits of distraction-free learning.

During the game, Frankie took on QuackerJack in the always-popular “Duck Dash” on-field promotion. In addition, Frankie said hello to Ducks fans throughout the ballpark, took pictures and helped educate fans about the new phone-free schools policy.
