Clemens knocks two long balls
(Sugar Land, Texas, Aug. 10, 2013) – The Long Island Ducks fell to the Sugar Land Skeeters 9-3 on Saturday night in the second game of a six-game series at Constellation Field.

Long Island scored first, putting three runs on the board in the second inning against Skeeters starter David Pauley. Dan Lyons hit a RBI single, and Joash Brodin and Ray Navarrete drove in runs with groundouts. Koby Clemens hit a two-run home run off Ducks starter John Brownell in the bottom half of the frame.
Sugar Land took their first lead with four in the fourth. An error, a single by Dominic Ramos, and Jeff Dominguez’s two-run single accounted for the scoring. Clemens added a three-run homer to left in the eighth to complete the scoring.
Pauley (3-1) recorded the win, giving up five hits and three runs in six innings. John Brownell (9-8) took the loss, giving up six runs (five earned) on five hits in five innings. Navarrete, Lyons, and Kraig Binick led the Ducks with two hits. The Ducks continue their six-game series against the Sugar Land Skeeters Sunday night. Long Island returns home on Thursday, August 15 when they battle the Revolution in the opener of a four-game series.
