Andrew Lambo gave the Bluefish a 1-0 lead in the third inning with a leadoff solo home run to left-center field off of Ducks starter Matt Larkins. Lew Ford answered in the bottom of the fourth with a leadoff solo homer of his own to left-center off of Bluefish starter Jonathan Albaladejo, tying the game at one.

Long Island took the lead for good with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. A leadoff solo homer to left by Dan Lyons and an RBI fielder’s choice off the bat of Angelo Songco put the Ducks on top 3-1. Bridgeport loaded the bases with two outs in the seventh, but Patrick Crider came on to strike out Lambo and end the threat.

Larkins (1-5) earned the win, tossing six and two-thirds innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out three. Albaladejo (3-5) took the loss, yielding three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts over eight innings. Chin-Hui Tsao collected his sixth save of the season with a perfect ninth, striking out two.

Lyons and Fehlandt Lentini each had two hits to pace the Flock offensively. The Ducks and Bluefish wrap up their three-game set on Sunday afternoon.
