Camden took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on RBI singles from Michael Rockett and Evan Crawford off of Ducks starter Bruce Kern. Two more runs in the fourth on Daniel Rockett’s RBI double and Jose Gil’s run-scoring single doubled the advantage to four.
Long Island closed the gap back to two in the bottom of the fourth on solo home runs by Dan Lyons and Sean Burroughs off of Riversharks starter Daniel Herrera. However, a sac fly to right in the fifth by Carlos Guzman pushed Camden’s lead back up to three.
The Ducks answered back with two more runs in the seventh on Fehlandt Lentini’s run-scoring groundout and a wild pitch by Dan Blewett. However, they could not even up the score.
Herrera (4-4) collected the win, tossing five innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out four. Kern (6-3) suffered the loss, yielding five runs on nine hits and a walk in five innings with four strikeouts. Matt Gorgen earned his 23rd save with a scoreless ninth inning.
Lentini led the Flock with three hits at the plate.

Duck Tales: Dan Lyons’ solo home run in the fourth inning was his ninth of the season. That total is a career-high, two more than the seven he hit in 2008 combined with Single-A Hagerstown and Advanced-A Potomac. The fifth-year Duck has now gone deep three times during the month of August in a span of eight games. It was also his first homer of the season against the Riversharks…Sean Burroughs’ solo homer in the fourth was his fourth of the season and first with the Flock, coming in just his second at-bat with Long Island. He was acquired from the Bridgeport Bluefish on Monday in exchange for outfielder Bryan Sabatella. The former big leaguer batted .321 in 53 games with the Bluefish this season. The longball was also his first of 2015 against the Riversharks…Fehlandt Lentini collected three hits for the second time in 13 games since joining the Flock. His first three-hit game came on July 29 against Somerset. The outfielder now has five multi-hit games this year. In 2014, he totaled eight three-hit games and 49 multi-hit contests out of 137 total games…J.C. Romero threw another scoreless inning in the eighth. The former Major Leaguer has not allowed a run in 12 of his last 13 appearances. In the 13 games, he has yielded just one run on six hits and six walks while striking out four. Romero has given up just three runs total in 16 and two-thirds innings with the Ducks (1.62 ERA).
