The Ducks struck first on a bases loaded walk to Ramon Castro in the first inning by Revolution starter Corey Thurman. York would respond with six runs in the top of the second off Ducks starter Matt Way. RBI singles by Ruddy Yan, Andres Perez, Brian Burgamy and Andy Marte highlighted the scoring.

Long Island got a run back in the fourth on a solo home run to right by Joash Brodin. York added a run in the seventh, but a four-run bottom of the eighth by the Ducks closed the deficit to one. Four straight two-out RBI singles did the damage, but that was as close as the Ducks would come.

Thurman (2-4) earned the win, tossing six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out one. Way (1-2) suffered the loss, giving up six runs on eight hits and two walks in just one and two-thirds innings of work. Juan Rincon earned his third save of the year with a scoreless ninth.

Adam Bailey led the Ducks with three hits in the game while Danny Perales and Gabe Suarez each added two.

The Ducks hit the road on Friday as they open a three-game series against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. from Regency Furniture Stadium.
