Ducks unable to overcome early deficit in New Britain

(New Britain, Conn., April 27, 2016) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the New Britain Bees 5-2 on Wednesday morning in the finale of a three-game series at New Britain Stadium.

Bees starter Nick Greenwood (2-0) earned the win, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just five hits and two walks while striking out five. Downs (0-1) took the loss, giving up five runs on seven hits and five walks with four strikeouts over four and two-thirds innings.
