(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 15, 2026) – The Long Island Ducks begin the 2026 Atlantic League playoffs on Tuesday night. 2026 marks the 17th postseason appearance in franchise history, including their eighth in the past 11 seasons dating back to 2015 and first since 2023. Long Island clinched a playoff berth by winning the Second Half North Division Championship and will face the First Half Champion Hagerstown Flying Boxcars in the North Division Championship Series. The Ducks are seeking their fifth championship in franchise history (2004, 2012, 2013, 2019).

2026 NORTH DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES SCHEDULE

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY

The North Division Championship Series will feature the first-ever postseason meeting between the Ducks and Flying Boxcars. Hagerstown, who joined the Atlantic League in 2024, is making its Atlantic League playoff debut.

The Ducks lead the all-time series between the two teams 45-18, including a 24-6 advantage at Fairfield Properties Ballpark and a 21-12 edge at Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Md. Long Island also won the 2026 season series 15-9, posting an 8-4 record at home and a 7-5 record on the road. The Ducks have won all three season series they have played against the Flying Boxcars, going 12-6 against Hagerstown in 2024, 18-3 in 2025 and 15-9 in 2026.
