The Bluefish jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Ducks starter Gustavo Chacin with a RBI double by Prentice Redman and a RBI single by Luis Lopez in the first. Bridgeport added another RBI single from Lopez in the third, giving the ‘Fish a 3-0 advantage.

Three runs in the fifth for the visitors, highlighted by a two-run single from Ramon Vazquez, and two more in the seventh on a sac fly and a fielder’s choice stretched the lead to eight. The Ducks cut the deficit in half in the bottom half of the eighth when Wilberto Ortiz hit a RBI single, and Brandon Sing hit a three-run homer to left, but it was all the offense the Ducks muster.
