The Barnstormers took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI double by Nate Coronado and an RBI single by Steve Clevenger off Ducks starter John Brownell. Long Island closed to within 2-1 in the fifth inning when Marc Krauss unloaded a solo home run to right-center field off Barnstormers starter Brad Bergesen.

Lancaster responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame to extend their lead to four. An RBI single by Rico Noel and a two-out, two-run homer to right by Cole Garner did the damage.

Two more runs in the sixth on Clevenger’s RBI single and Sean Halton’s sacrifice fly made it a 7-1 ballgame. Angelo Songco rounded out the scoring with a mammoth solo blast to right-center field in the ninth inning.

Bergesen (6-6) earned the win, tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing two hits while striking out three. Brownell (7-2) suffered the loss, surrendering five runs on eight hits and three walks in four and two-thirds innings with four strikeouts.
