Bio

Garcia begins his first season with the Ducks and 17th in professional baseball. The first baseman/outfielder played nine seasons (2009-17) in the St. Louis Cardinals organization and one each in the Oakland Athletics (2018) and San Francisco Giants (2019) systems, reaching Triple-A. In 936 games during that time, he batted .261 with 124 homers, 513 RBIs, 487 runs and a .798 OPS. The Puerto Rico native garnered three MiLB.com Organization All-Star selections (2012, ’15, ’17) and represented Puerto Rico at the 2018 Caribbean Series, earning MVP honors. He spent the past five seasons (2021-25) in the Mexican League, batting .309 with 51 homers, 183 RBIs, 173 runs and a .964 OPS in 242 games. Garcia was originally selected by the Cardinals in the 18th round of the 2009 amateur draft.
