Bio

Thomas begins his first season with the Ducks and ninth in professional baseball. The outfielder spent two seasons (2022-23) in the Major Leagues with the Oakland Athletics. In 29 games, he had one home run, two RBIs, two runs, 18 hits, three doubles and six walks. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 2022, against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park, collecting his first Big League hit in his second at bat in The Show by way of a single to left field off Nationals starting pitcher Paolo Espino.

The 30-year-old was originally drafted by the New York Yankees in the 30th round of the 2013 draft from Colleyville Heritage Hight School (Colleyville, TX) and then by the Los Aneles Dodgers in the 13th round of the 2016 amateur draft from the University of Oklahoma. He was an MiLB.com All-Star in 2018 (LAD), 2021 (OAK) and 2023 (OAK), along with being a California League Post-Season All-Star in 2018 and a Texas League Mid-Season All-Star in 2019.
