Bio

Bonifacio begins his first season with the Ducks and 17th in professional baseball. The outfielder has spent five seasons in the Major Leagues, including three with the Kansas City Royals (2017-19) and one each with the Detroit Tigers (2020) and Philadelphia Phillies (2021). In 224 MLB games, he has totaled a .242 batting average with 23 home runs, 85 RBIs, 97 runs, 178 hits, 37 doubles, three triples, 71 walks and a .705 OPS. 

The 32-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association. In 96 games, he batted .259 with 17 homers, 52 RBIs, 69 runs, 97 hits, 18 doubles, one triple, 50 walks and seven stolen bases. The Dominican Republic native is the brother of Emilio Bonifacio, who played 12 seasons at the Major League Baseball level.
