Bio
Yepez begins his first season with the Ducks and 11th in professional baseball. The infielder has spent three seasons in the Major Leagues, including two with the St. Louis Cardinals (2022-23) and one with the Washington Nationals (2024). In 166 MLB games, he has totaled a .258 batting average with 20 home runs, 58 RBIs, 64 runs, 139 hits, 29 doubles, 28 walks and a .730 OPS. The Venezuela native also appeared in two postseason games during the 2022 National League Wild Card series against Philadelphia, launching a go-ahead two-run home run off Jose Alvarado in the seventh inning of Game One.
The 28-year-old split the 2025 season between Triple-A Rochester and High-A Wilmington in the Nationals organization. In 75 games combined, he batted .220 with eight homers, 34 RBIs, 30 runs, 56 hits, 11 doubles and 26 walks. Previously, he was named the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Co-Player of the Year, an MiLB.com Organization All-Star and an International League Post-Season All-Star in 2021 with Triple-A Memphis after ranking second in the league in home runs (22). Yepez was originally signed by the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2014.
